SwissCCS Annual report 2024

Annual Report 2024
Dear SwissCCS members,
As President of SwissCCS, it is my pleasure to present the 2024 Annual Report. This report provides an overview of our activities, milestones achieved and challenges we have overcome together over the past year. Thanks to the commitment of our members, the hard work of the board and the support of our office, we have been able to make important progress.
Review of 2024
The past year was characterised by many developments that have had a lasting impact on our association. Particular focus was placed on the collaboration with the SWKI and the future cooperation with Ilmac.
Annual General Meeting
For the first time, the Annual General Meeting was held together with that of the SWKI. The majority of members voted in favour of signing the memorandum of General Assembly and further intensifying the cooperation. In addition, Michael Meier, Director of the SVGW, was newly elected to the board. Our long-standing auditor Riccardo Schena was thanked for his services and Angel Gomez from the company Admeco was appointed as his successor.
Specialist conference
The last symposium in its previous form took place on 22 May at the Mercure Hotel Krone in Lenzburg on the topic of ‘Geopolitical Influences’. Despite the positive response of the previous year, the number of participants could not be increased; around 50 people attended the event. The conclusion was an exclusive tour at Hitachi Ltd. in Lenzburg as well as a joint aperitif. Since the event did not go as well as hoped from a financial point of view, the board has developed new concepts for the future orientation of the symposium.
Cooperation with Ilmac
In autumn 2024, the cooperation between Ilmac and SwissCCS was officially sealed. In the future, the symposium will be held as part of Ilmac. On 17 September 2025, Speaker's Corner will be available to present technical papers on cleanroom technology to a larger audience. This realignment is not only intended to reduce costs, but also to significantly increase the visibility of SwissCCS and its topics.
Cooperation with the SWKI
Following the positive decision of the general assembly, the boards of SwissCCS and SWKI have intensified their discussions. The long-term goal is integration within the next five years. To achieve this, adjustments are needed on both sides
to sustainably anchor the interests of SwissCCS in an international context.
Involvement in standards committees
Active participation in international standardisation bodies such as ISO, CEN and VDI remains a cornerstone of our work. In 2024, our members continued to work nationally and internationally on behalf of SwissCCS to represent Switzerland's interests in
cleanroom and control room technology.
Training programme
The board reorganised itself in 2024 to specifically advance the training programme. Developing new training materials requires significant resources, but we are confident that we will soon be able to communicate concrete results and dates.
Media presence and LinkedIn
A particular highlight was the increased presence of SwissCCS on LinkedIn, especially through the introduction of our members. With almost 60,000 impressions, we were able to significantly increase our reach and expand the association's network.
Introduction of Coffee Break Sessions
We have developed a new concept for sharing knowledge: the ‘Coffee Break Sessions’ are compact online webinars lasting 30 to 45 minutes in which members share their expertise. The official launch is planned for 2025.
Outlook for 2025
2025 will be a year of realignment and further development for SwissCCS. Significant changes are on the horizon, with the first-time integration of our specialist conference into Ilmac and the continuation of talks with the SWKI. Our focus is on further increasing the visibility and influence of SwissCCS and offering our members innovative formats for knowledge transfer.
I would like to thank you all for your commitment, support and trust in our association. Together we are shaping a strong future for SwissCCS. I look forward to welcoming you in person to our events in 2025.
Kind regards
Roman Schläpfer, president SwissCCS
