SwissCCS annual report 2025
Annual Report 2025
Dear members of SwissCCS,
The year 2025 was characterised by reorientation, structural clarifications and the enhancement of the association’s visibility. Key themes included positioning ourselves in new formats, clarifying cooperation with partner organisations and further developing our offering for members. SwissCCS has further refined its role as a professional association within a challenging environment.
Key themes in 2025
A key step was the integration of activities into Ilmac. On 17 September 2025, SwissCCS used the Speaker’s Corner to make specialist presentations on cleanroom technology accessible to a wider professional audience. The format increased our reach and enabled direct networking with related disciplines. The response confirmed the relevance of this approach. Further participation is planned for 2027, with a stronger presence and an adapted concept.
The collaboration with the SWKI was redefined following an in-depth review. Integration was ruled out as the existing structures do not allow for sustainable implementation. Instead, a binding cooperation agreement was drawn up. This governs the exchange of technical expertise as well as joint activities in continuing education, standardisation and events. Organisational autonomy is maintained, whilst coordination of content is strengthened.
The partnership with Hygieneforum.ch has established a further focus. The aim is to pool specialist knowledge and ensure the coordinated development of content and formats. Combining the networks increases reach and strengthens our position on relevant specialist topics.
Activities and services
Participation in international standardisation bodies such as ISO, CEN and VDI remained a central component of the association’s work. Members of SwissCCS continue to represent Switzerland’s interests in cleanroom and controlled environment technology.
In the area of events, new formats were introduced. The Coffee Break Sessions have established themselves as a compact online platform for specialist topics. Three sessions with consistent attendance figures demonstrate a clear demand for short, focused content.
Communication via digital channels was expanded. LinkedIn, in particular, serves as a central platform for specialist articles and association information. This continuous presence strengthens the SwissCCS’s profile within the specialist community.
Development of services
Work on the training programme continued. The aim is to provide a structured continuing professional development programme in the field of cleanroom technology and contamination control. Implementation is planned from 2027. The programme is to be modular in structure and cover both foundational and advanced content.
New formats such as the Coffee Break Sessions complement this offering and facilitate accessible knowledge transfer. The combination of structured training courses and compact online formats forms the basis for future development.
Challenges
The framework conditions for participation in standardisation bodies have become more stringent. The availability of specialists for voluntary work remains limited. At the same time, geopolitical tensions are hampering international cooperation and leading to more complex coordination processes.
Structural limitations within existing organisations are also becoming apparent. The decision against integration with the SWKI highlights the need for clearly defined cooperation models.
Outlook for 2026
In 2026, the focus will be on consolidating the measures already introduced. Cooperation with partner organisations will be implemented at an operational level. Our presence at specialist events will be expanded in a targeted manner.
The training programme will be further refined to ensure its launch from 2027. In parallel, existing formats will be further developed and their content refined.
Participation in standardisation remains a strategic priority. Ensuring professional representation at national and international level remains central.
